Today is God’s day.
You’re off on His path!
You’re well on your way!
You have me in your corner,
And hope to your toes,
God’s Spirit will guide you
Through life’s highs and lows!
Oh, the graces you’ll know!
Oh, the glory you’ll show!
With God’s Word and His Spirit
You will grow, grow, grow!
You’ll meet lots of people,
Some happy, some sad—
Some thankful for blessings,
Some grumbly and mad.
When trouble comes calling
(And yes, trouble will),
God’s Word is your armor,
Your courage. Be still.
And when you’re uncertain
Which way you should go,
Just stop, pray, look and listen—
God’s Spirit will show.
You’ll climb up great mountains,
Sing praises from peaks,
And crawl through dark valleys
For what might feel like weeks!
But each place God takes you,
High, low, fast, or slow—
His grace is sufficient
For wherever you go.
Oh, the graces you’ll know!
Oh, the glory you’ll show!
With God’s Word and His Spirit
You will grow, grow, grow!
You’ll learn that God’s mercy
Is never in doubt.
When you can’t even see it, God’s good
And He’ll work it all out.
You’ll help where God needs you,
You’ll shine like a light.
You’ll speak of God’s kingdom,
In all times, do right.
You’ll forgive without keeping
A count of the score,
Because Jesus forgave you—
And oh, so much more!
And from the end of the road,
When you look back
You’ll see God ever faithful
To keep you on track.
Yes, the road will be winding,
With dips, bumps, and bends,
But the Father, He holds you,
Beginning to End.
So go – live your life,
Run your race, show the world,
That no matter the places you go,
God is so good.
And one day in heaven,
Your faith all aglow,
You’ll hear from your Savior,
In joy, face to face:
Oh the places you’ve gone!
Oh the grace you have shown!
Rest now, my servant,
My child, welcome home!
