How does God love thee, let me count the ways.
There are endless ways to approach the question of “how” God loves you.
God loves you as Father, eldest brother, Bridegroom, Companion and Friend.
God loves you from eternity past, in the present, and into eternity yet to come.
God loves you with all that He is, all that He has, all that He does and all that He says.
God loves you out of every aspect of His being. God loves you with love that is holy, infinite, unchanging, all-seeing, all-knowing, always present and ever faithful. God loves you with love that is almighty, first and last, merciful, gracious, tender and strong.
God loves is joyful, wise, restorative and patient beyond your imagination. .

God loves you in all the languages of love. God loves you with Words of affirmation, quality time, gifts (blessings too many to count), physical touch (from Creation to Incarnation to the fellowship of the Spirit in the Body of Christ), and acts of service (chief among them the Cross).

On this Valentine’s day…
Consider reading a love letter from God. Try I John 4:7-21, I Corinthians 13, or Romans 12:9-18. And then, dwell on John 3:16.
Consider writing your own love letter to God today.
Consider being the love letter God is sending to someone else today to express His love.
Consider singing God a love song today.
One my favorite love songs is Be Thou My Vision. I’ve bolded the words and phrases I concentrate on in love.
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light
Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one
Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only first in my heart
High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art
High King of heaven, my victory won
May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s sun
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O ruler of all
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O ruler of all
Precious friend, when all other loves fail or fade, the love of God remains.
You can count on the love of God today. Let Him be Your Valentine.
And then, having been loved, knowing you are loved, filled with real love, allow yourself to be the love He is now sending by His Spirit into a world desperate for love.
